Liminality, Connection, Disaster and Renewal: Shinto as a Narrative Force in the 2016-2022 Films of Shinkai Makoto and its Growing Popularity Outside Japan — A dissertation produced as part of my MA in Interdisciplinary Japanese Studies examining Shinto Narrative in the 2016-2023 films (specifically Your Name, Weathering With You and Suzume) of Japanese director Shinkai Makoto.

Mythological Apotheosis: An Examination into the Transformation of Greek Mythology, through the ‘Magical Girl’ Genre of Japanese Manga and Anime, and its Adaption for Consumption by Modern Audiences — This dissertation was produced for my first Master of Art degree, in Classics, from the Open University.
